Helensvale Play and Learn Centre overview
Welcome to Helensvale Play and Learn Centre.
Our educational philosophy is to create and foster environments filled with warmth and homeliness. It is our belief that the foundation of this success is relationships – relationships with families, their children and the community. We begin this relationship upon enrolment, giving parents an opportunity to formally and informally communicate their needs, interests and background experiences. Our educators then continue to build strong relationships with families assisting them to settle into the centre and liaise about their child’s developmental needs and stages.
All programming within the centre promotes active play, voluntary play based on each child’s individual needs and stage. Children are actively encouraged to self-select activities which include a balance of open ended and structured experiences. Independence, self-help skills, creativity, music and literacy as well as physical skills are promoted through a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences, both spontaneous and planned.
Our company has a great awareness of our legal responsibilities, duty of care, risk management, occupational health and safety as well as the National Quality Framework. We value the relationships we have developed with our Departmental Resource Officers and take great pride in maintaining regulations at all times. Our centre environments and equipment are maintained in optimum conditions with equipment and resources being updated regularly.
Helensvale Play and Learn Centre includes infants from 6wks – 3yrs and a Kindergarten program for our 4yr-5yr olds.
Our programs are play based aimed with knowledge that children learn best when provided with opportunities and environments to freely engage with the world around them in pursuit of their own interests and curiosities.
The classroom environments are full of innovative and original activities that allow children time and space to explore and learn. Early Childhood Services are a platform in which children can practice the skills required for their futures such as friendships, exploring and understanding emotions and ultimately discovering their own footprint within the broader community.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :) My two little ones have been going to Play and Learn Helensvale for 1.5yrs and we couldn’t be happier! The staff are warm, engaging and have always been so genuine with their interactions between my children and myself. I have used one Kindy prior to this one and the neat facilities and cleanliness here at this centre and lovely, happy teachers are outstanding and do not compare! 5stars! Read more

You are immediately given an image of professionalism and care but this is just smoke and mirrors. I enrolled my 4 year old son and explained the behavioral problems he had and was assured by Amy (Manager) and also Jaqui (Educator) that they had the resources and qualifications to handle the situation because and i quote "If you can't handle a 4 year old then you shouldn't be in child care" things were great for 1 week then things went south. I started having to come early to pick up my son because they couldn't handle him and within only a couple of weeks i was forced to reduce my hours with only 3 days notice! After having the hours reduced for only 1 day i was told that i had 2 weeks left of care because they didn't have the facilities to deal with my child. Honestly do yourself a favor and find a more proffesional centre. They will give up on your child within a couple of weeks if they are misbehaved. Read more
