About the curriculum
About the curriculum
At Kindalin, children are cared for in an environment that is both stimulating and challenging. The seven core beliefs of the centre’s philosophy are:
Partnerships between the children, families and educators
Environments should be both positive and nurturing, seeing children as individuals who are competent and capable learners.
Active Learning is encouraged as children explore their surroundings and interact with others.
Family support is offered where parents take an active role in their child’s programming. All cultures are celebrated and valued.
Community involvement is encouraged, visiting and engaging with other groups and spaces within the local area.
Team Culture where educators are respected individually as well as working within a professional group that encourages development and reflection.
Sustainability as part of the culture and curriculum, to teach children to learn and respect the environment.
An exciting place to grow and learn

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Babies use their senses to begin to investigate their environment. As they get older, they start to show more interest in moving objects, colourful mobiles and gentle movement with an educator. Older babies become reliant on the familiar adults that care for them. They become more inquisitive about how the world works and will interact with other children or objects in their space.
This is the age where friendships really blossom and the children can learn social skills together as they play. They’re learning about taking turns, sharing toys, working together and building resilience.
The children in this room are keen to learn and discover, share their ideas, and of course play. They begin to explore different ways of presenting information to others, including writing, speech and artwork.
The inquisitive little learners in this room are learning to become more independent learners. They’re ready to tackle tasks on their own, and can understand simple instructions. Educators work to get them ready for the next steps in their education.
Health & nutrition
Health & nutrition
All meals and snacks are provided and prepared in-house at Kindalin. The menu was designed in collaboration with dietitian Fiona Kupresanin, and offers a nutritious menu.
The centre uses low fat and reduced salt ingredients, wholemeal and wholegrain foods, a range of vegetables and plenty of low-GI foods.
All dietary needs are catered for, including vegetarian options, and alternatives for children who are gluten-intolerant or have allergies.
The educators at Kindalin use meal and snack time as another educational opportunity for the children. Educators promote self-help skills as the children serve their own fruit and veggies from the platters, and make decisions for themselves as to what they would like to eat.
It is also a great time to discuss healthy eating and trying new foods. For the younger children, Educators promote sensory exploration as they taste and touch their food.
Throughout the year the children learn about healthy eating, such as what are 'always' and 'sometimes' foods. This occurs as part of the curriculum, including projects, food and cooking demonstrations, visitors to the centre and presentations from external organisations.

Rouse Hill Kindalin is simply a fantastic centre, I have 2 little ones in care at this centre, my older one came from a lot of negative experiences from a previous centre (not in Sydney) she was terrified to start another care centre, but the way they took this on board and helped her to develop meaningful relationships and help grow her confidence has been the most amazing thing to witness. My youngest still has separation anxiety in the mornings, but they efficiently and quickly help make drop off as easy as possible and we celebrate the more positive mornings. The facilities themselves are probably the best I've ever come across, including designated art area's, designated sleeping/resting and at least 2 security doors/gates to each room. The communication is fanastic from the centre and it's very easy to discuss things with the educators and of course Miss Melissa, Miss Savannah and Miss Emma. I would absolutely recommend Rouse Hill Kindalin and would have 10 stars if I could! Read more

The kindalin centre at Rouse Hill is an amazing centre with the best designed layout out of all the childcare centres we saw when looking for a place for our son. The curriculum is also well thought out and factored into all the activities they do which is really impressive. But we’re really happy with the educators at the centre as we can see the care they have for the kids and our son has developed a lot of great relationships with his teachers. Overall, I would definitely recommend and I can see that our son has benefitted from his time here, especially with the many great friends he’s made. Read more

We started at 2 days a week and almost immediately upped it to 3 days a week. My son comes home happy, Healthy and full of stories. He almost doesn't want to leave and I can't blame him with what they feed him. The sign in and out process is flawless and effortless but most of all safe. Read more
