Oakleigh Early Learning Journey Centre overview
Oakleigh Early Learning journey is a boutique childcare and kindergarten for children from 12 weeks to six years of age. Our primary goal is to create an environment in which each child’s growth and development is nurtured and their love for learning is strengthened through collaborative partnerships with peers, educators and wider community.
Our boutique service has been strategically designed to ensure that your child develops a sense of security and belonging by providing them with small size rooms in a home like environment. We have a dedicated building for children in our zero-two years of age and a dedicated building for children aged three-five years of age. Children across both age groups have opportunities to collaborate during the day. About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Our Educators are fully-qualified leaders in the early childhood sector, ensuring your child receives learning opportunities that extends their learning and development. Our educational programs are based on the Early Years Framework for Australia and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework.Through the delivery of our play-based educational programs, our educators strive to support your child to be ready for the real world and to instil a lifelong love for learning.
Our curriculum promotes learning across all key areas in a holistic manner – children are provided with the opportunity engage in experience that develop their literacy, numeracy, science, music, art, sensory play, cultural competence and technology, wellbeing and sustainability.
Our approach to curriculum planning is supported by research that has established that from birth children are born ready to learn and begin to discriminate between language sounds within the first months of life. Given this basis, Our educators place your child at the heart of the learning and each children’s strengths and interests are utilised as stimulus for learning. All of the rooms in our service devise holistic educational programs that follow the children’s emerging interests and provide children with the opportunity to engage in a range of experiences that stimulates their learning.
