Warning for parents considering enrollment at this centre: We’ve unfortunately had to learn some hard lessons at this childcare, and it’s been a long battle to recover our money. Please consider our experience before making your decision: 1. High staff turnover: it can be concerning for your child’s stability and care. 2. Invoice issues: there’s no ABN listed on their invoices, which is a red flag in terms of business transparency. 3. Bond refund problems: Despite giving proper notice and having no fees owing, we were not refunded our bond. 4. Unauthorized booking changes: Our child’s booking was changed without our consent, increasing to 5 days, and they marked our child as absent on the additional day. 5. Incorrect centrelink reports: They submitted incorrect reports to Centrelink, resulting in us having to pay full fees and wait months to claim back the child care subsidy. 6. Management issues: All these issues seem to stem from the owner, Lily, who handles management personally, leading to the problems we’ve faced. 7. Trading name confusion: Be aware that their current trading name on ACECQA.gov.au is listed as “Sunshine Early Learning Centre,” not “Anna’s Care for kids.” There are plenty of reputable childcare centers in Five Dock, but based on our experience, this one is not recommended.
