Growing Maestros Preschool and ELC Centre overview
Welcome to Growing Maestros!
Growing Maestros is a Preschool and Early Learning Centre for children aged 12 months old to 5 years old.
At Growing Maestros, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique classical music programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
We value multiculturalism, and immersion in languages and arts is a constant element in our daily activities.
Our Program
We are guided by the curriculum set out in the Early Years Learning Framework [EYLF]. The children acquire literacy and numeracy skills through our M.A.T.H.S. program:
M: Music and Mathematics
A: the Arts
T: Technology
H: Human society - languages and cultures
S: Science, Sports and Sustainability
Children will experience a continuum of development from early literacy and numeracy to concrete language and number skills across the 4 levels of learning in Growing Maestros:
Level 1: Baby Maestros
Level 2: Aspiring Maestros
Level 3: Apprentice Maestros
Level 4: Honorary Maestros
Immersion in French, Indonesian, Chinese offered to all children according to each family's interest.
It is the educational goal at Growing Maestros that children develop universal skills to their best abilities for school readiness, thus the whole learning environment and program has been designed in line with the EYLF outcomes. Our qualified early childhood trained educators continuously work on the children's pre-reading and pre-writing skills through various daily activities.
School Readiness Program
To further prepare our children for their exciting time in kindergarten, our program is also informed by the ACARA’s (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority) and NESA’s (NSW Education Standards Authority) syllabus of the 6 Key Learning Areas in primary school:
Literacy, Numeracy, Arts, Human Society, Science & Technology and PDHPE (sports).
We put a huge emphasis on interaction: between the educators and the children, as well as among the children themselves. The demands of life in the 21st century require a whole set of life skills attainable only through real-life interaction. This is the reason that we encourage children to mix across the age group throughout the different learning spaces of the day. It is our hope that this 'family grouping' approach will nurture our children into caring and compassionate human beings as well as academically highly accomplished individuals.
Lastly, our educators aim to promote an inclusive educational environment and model their teaching philosophy by the principles of the Universal Design of Learning.
We are open weekdays 7am-6pm for 49 weeks a year

He was attending daycare at another centre and was beginning and ending the day not happy. I made the decision to move him to Growing Maestros based off of the feeling I got when I walked in, Anna who was very welcoming to myself and my son and the academic and social opportunities that was being offered to the children. As a primary school teacher myself, I was very excited to see how English and Mathematics was being explored and taught as well as music and now Stem. I love the idea of “bush play” as my boys love the outdoors. I know I made the right decision because my son comes back so happy when I pick him up and he actually tells me about his day! Thank you Anna and all the staff working at Growing Maestros. You are doing a fabulous job and I can’t speak more highly of you all! I wish I found you sooner! Read more
