At Young Academics Pendle Hill, we believe that a child's first five years are crucial for developing healthy eating behaviors, exploring new foods, and meeting nutritional needs that support their growth and development. Nutrition plays a key role in boosting children's well-being, self-confidence, and concentration, which is why we place a strong focus on fostering positive eating habits from an early age.

We understand that our early learning environment plays a pivotal role in shaping these habits. Our holistic Nutrition focus goes beyond providing nutritious meals; it’s an integral part of our curriculum. Children actively participate in cooking experiences, where they not only learn about food preparation but also explore the connection between healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. Through these hands-on experiences, children are empowered to make informed choices about what they eat and how they care for their bodies.

Our seasonal four-week rotating menu is thoughtfully designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a wide variety of healthy foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more. By introducing children to these nourishing foods and involving them in meal preparation, we help them develop a love for wholesome, balanced meals.

In addition to nutrition, we place a strong emphasis on hygiene as part of our daily routines. Children are encouraged to wash their hands before meals, learn about food safety, and practice proper hygiene practices in a fun and engaging way. These habits not only contribute to their overall health but also lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy choices.
