Thank you dear educators for looking after Sophie so well. She use to be shy and now she is much more confident and she looks forward to her daycare days. We really appreciate the time and effort you guys put in for not just their daily care but for all the special events and activities as well. The educators also really helped us with toilet training Sophie. We feel very thankful to have found such a lovely daycare with long hours and so close to home.

Thank you for all that you do for Adam and the other kids. The amount of effort you ALL put in each day to care for, entertain, stimulate and educate our little ones is amazing, on top of sending us updates and amazing photos regularly that we can treasure for ever and the kids can look back on as they get older and remember their friends. I for one do take this for granted sometimes and will try to remember to be a lot more thankful each day.

My kids went to several daycare centres over the past few years, however I would say that Goodhands was the best centre by far! Mahshid, Mary and the teachers made my kids feel welcome and part of the big family straight away. We highly recommend the centre.
Great memories and friendships are made here.

We love good hands! My daughter started during the covid lockdown and the centre and staff have been so welcoming and helpful as my daughter transitioned easily to the centre. I love the outdoor space and the educators really put a lot of effort to make the program interesting and provide opportunities for learning. Lovely small, home like centre with a personal touch, Mahshid is an excellent director and very helpful.

I couldn't recommend the team at Good Hands more highly. I have two children aged 2yo and 4yo going to school here and every day they arrive so excited to see their friends and teachers. All the carers provide individualised care and are very attentive to each child's needs. Additionally they are always open to suggestions and trying to improve their processes.
Many times my two year old has gone to bed at night telling me how much he "loves" a particular teacher and it fills my heart with joy.
With busy work schedules it is such a relief to arrive here to friendly faces and see the kids run off to play yelling and waving "Bye Mum". This was a very different experience to our previous child care.
Each day we receive 5-10 (sometimes more) photos of the kids. We also get an extensive update at least weekly on Storypark of the activities the children have done that week. They also engage the children in book-week and recently they dressed up and made cupcakes for parents to purchase to raise money for Cancer Council day. They also had a great pyjama party recently.
I couldn't be more happy with the care my kids have received. I honestly can't believe what the children get to do and learn at this age compared to when I went to preschool. Thank you to the Good Hands team, you are all fabulous.
Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy
Children are our future. We need good leaders in all fields: politics, education, science, arts and sports. We believe that they have a mission to make a better, safer and a more peaceful world. For these reasons, we want our children to develop into happy, balanced, active, educated adolescents and adults.
This journey starts at an early age. It is the behaviours and attitudes learnt in the first few years of our life that build the strong foundations necessary for the future. It is important for parents to find the most appropriate start in their child’s life. A suitable childcare centre has a crucial role in this process. We believe in building a positive, trusting, safe and welcoming centre that accepts everyone and encourages their differences as well as works with the community to utilise the environment we live in.
We believe that our childcare centre provides an age appropriate education within a caring, well-managed, safe environment. We aim to nurture our children to become more socially accepted, educated and successful men and women for our community, our country and the world. At Good Hands Long Day Care we believe in children using their skills and understandings to explore the natural surroundings, which aids in teaching them about respect and the world in which they live.
At Good Hands Long Day Care we believe and encourage children’s freedom to move and their ability to make their own decisions which form the foundation of our educational program by giving the children a chance to learn through their body and senses while exploring through their own play explorations.
Good Hands Long Day Care believes in creating a space that is directed by the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for their own ideas and their own willingness to learn which allows for spontaneous planning and intentional teaching moments which assist in strengthening their social and emotional wellbeing.
Our aim is to have a safe, bias free and happy environment for our children. Our qualified staff will support and help children to expand their cognitive, social emotional, language and physical developments through free play and structured educational programs. We use up to date and age appropriate educational toys and books, appropriate indoor and outdoor programming, observations and evaluations to create a high quality care for the children. We ensure our children respect Australian culture and values. Here at Good Hands Long Day Care, we acknowledge the Guringai people as the traditional custodians of the Darug land and we endeavour to discover more of the Aboriginal history as we embark on our reconciliation action journey.
Our Centre has an open door for parents and caregivers. They are always welcome to the second home of their children for as long as they wish. We always appreciate their advice, support and new ideas and experiences in improving our service to the children, families and our community. We abide by Australian NSW rules and regulations and our policies reflect this.
We believe that if you choose our childcare centre, you can be sure that you and your children will be in Good Hands.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum
Good Hands follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which understands that children learn and explore through play. Children’s understanding of the world develops through communication, discovery, imagination, and creation.
The EYLF aims to develop in children a strong sense of identity, connection and contribution to their world, a strong sense of wellbeing, confidence and involvement in learning, and effective communication skills.
Through this framework the centre hopes to provide children with a sense of Belonging, to recognise and celebrate their Being, and support their Becoming.
The centre offers a school readiness program that prepares children for the transition to school by developing their literacy, numeracy, science, emotional, social, arts and crafts and motor skills. As well as their competence and confidence to be independent and the ability to challenge bias.

Goodhands is an amazing childcare centre with a warm and nurturing environment. The educators are not only exceptionally professional and experienced but also genuinely caring and attentive to each child's needs. They work hard to make each day special for children - decorating for celebrations, organising birthday parties, planning exciting incursions and excursions, setting up water play on hot days, and creating engaging educational activities that spark curiosity and learning. Their commitment to providing both a joyful and enriching experience truly makes Goodhands a place where children love to learn and grow. It brings me so much comfort knowing that while I am at work, my daughter is not only being well looked after but is also thriving in such a nurturing environment. Since joining Goodhands, she has become more confident and sociable, forming wonderful friendships and developing important skills that will benefit her for years to come. I see the same joy and growth in the other children as well, which is a testament to the dedication and care of the educators. I wholeheartedly recommend Goodhands to any parent looking for a loving and enriching early childhood experience. A big thank you to the amazing team for all that you do! Read more
We want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at GoldHands for the kindness and support you have shown my son during this... We want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at GoldHands for the kindness and support you have shown my son during this past year. When we migrated to Australia a year ago, my son had a difficult start at his first preschool, Montessori at Turramurra.Unfortunately, he faced challenges and unfair treatment that made him feel unsafe, lonely, and depressed. As a parent, nothing is more important than seeing your child thrive, so we made the decision to find a new preschool where he could have a fresh start. Then we found GoldHands, and everything changed. At first, he still struggled to adjust, especially since he could only speak Mandarin and couldn’t communicate in English. However, with time, patience, and the warmth of the staff, he began to feel cared for and encouraged. He made a few friends, and slowly but surely, he started to gain confidence in his new environment. As his English improved, so did his happiness and sense of belonging. I truly believe that my son will always remember his first year in Australia with warmth and gratitude because of the care he received at GoldHands. Sometimes life is tough. A happy childhood is a precious gift—it builds resilience and strength that will help children face life’s challenges in the future. But a painful childhood can leave wounds that take a lifetime to heal. That’s why I deeply appreciate the love, patience, and encouragement you have given my son. You have not only helped him adapt but also given him beautiful memories that will stay with him forever. A special thank you to Mashid, Sunhee, Tarima, Lillian, and so many other staff members who have made a difference in his life. Your dedication means the world to us. Trust your feelings. Trust your child’s feelings. These feelings don’t lie—they will guide you to the right school. I hope every child has a happy childhood. Read more
Dear Tim, Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means the world to us to know that we’ve been able to support your son in such a meaningful way. We understand how difficult it can be to find the right environment for a child, and we’re so grateful that you chose to trust us. Seeing your son grow in confidence, build friendships, and strengthen his language skills has been such a joy for us. Our team is dedicated to creating a space where every child feels safe, valued, and supported, and we’re so glad that he has found that here. Your recommendation and gratitude mean so much, and we feel incredibly lucky to have your family as part of our community. Thank you for sharing your journey and for your trust in us. Regards, Mahshid
