St George Montessori Long Day Care

My daughter has been a part of the St George Montessori Peakhurst family for the past 4 years and I would not have it any other way. As a parent, my priorities were to ensure that my daughter is at a fun, dynamic, nurturing, educational and happy place and St George Montessori has proven to be just that!

The centre is immaculately maintained both inside and outside and the staff are friendly and encouraging to the children. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles by staff members who truly treasure and love the kids.

They go above and beyond to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment and I am continuously pleased with the remarkable progression in my daughter’s development both cognitively and socially. This is because the teachers always effectively plan, implement and immerse the children in activities that stimulate their growing minds and this helps prepare them for school. I have loved working in partnership with the staff who send daily feedback about my daughter’s progress and reflection of her day, to ensure they support her wellbeing and learning.

Our classrooms are designed with real and purposeful activities, to support the child’s learning. Children are constantly encouraged to freely explore their surroundings and to stimulate their learning by connecting with the natural world and growing into active members of the community. Our interactions, experiences, activities, routines and events, planned and unplanned, that occur in our prepared environment, is designed to foster all children’s learning outcomes and wellbeing.

Our primary aim is to provide your child with the building blocks and foundations for good life-readiness and independent experiences, within a safe and home like nurturing environment, with strong relationships being formed between the carer, child and parent through open communication and trust.

St George Montessori Peakhurst South team

The onsite chef prepares all meals for the children everyday, often using service-grown eggs and vegetables. The menu is nutritious, filled with wholesome meals that will nourish and fuel the children for their daily adventures. 

The children also participate in the NSW Health Munch & Move initiative to learn about the importance of physical activity and healthy eating.
