With a warm, welcoming feel, our Collins St Melbourne CBD child care has range of resource-rich environments, including a family dining area, simulated outdoor spaces, vibrant gardens, a treehouse and multiple water play areas. These impressive environments encourage children to explore and discover. Our included learning programs provide opportunity for children to develop confidence, independence, self-awareness, and self-worth.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the Centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Programs
Programs
The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.
With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.
Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
Meet the team
Meet the team
The team at the centre is made up of a mix of accredited Teachers, experienced Lead Educators and passionate Educational Leaders. No matter the role they play in the team, each and every person is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the children in their care.
Unique to Guardian Childcare & Education is the role of Baby Ambassador. It is the Baby Ambassador’s role to get to know the youngest children at the centre and ensure their needs are met each and every day. They also liaise with the families to give added peace of mind that their baby is happy and well during the day.
The team is the heart of the centre. Each member is valued for the individual skills they bring to the team and the contribution they make. For this reason, staff turnover is low ensuring a consistent experience for the children.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
At Guardian Childcare & Education, parents are invited to be directly involved in their children’s time at the centre. Parents can join their children for breakfast when they drop them off or come in at other times to share meals. They are also invited to join the children on excursions or at other events.
In the centre, parents will find Visible Learning Displays. This helps to track the children’s progress and provides a connection point to spark conversations between parents and educators. Parents and educators also use the StoryPark app for communication with the educators providing regular updates via this platform.

My child enjoys every day there, and I can pick my child up with peace of mind, always greeted by a smile. The childcare staff are deeply committed to the children, providing care tailored to each child's individual needs, and my child actively engages with them. Although our stay was short-term, the experience my child gained was incredibly meaningful, and I can see how satisfied my child is. I'm grateful for the professional care provided by the staff, and I would highly recommend this centre to other parents. Read more

I had a great experience at this centre and am sorry to have left due to moving away. Nut, Hannah, Pat, Cher, and Lily have been so supportive of my daughter's development at the centre. They are warm and caring and always had a welcoming smile when I was there. They would take the children out on regular excursions, hold regular music days, provide cooking sessions and craft activities. The centre itself is very spacious and clean. Mona and Shiva were also lovely on the administration side. Five stars Read more
