Alongside our early learning program, we offer a vibrant Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service. This includes before and after school care, as well as an engaging vacation care program with science experiences, movie days and fun-filled excursions, all available at low cost to families.
Our team of qualified and caring educators delivers a play-based curriculum that supports each child’s growth, confidence and creativity. We proudly offer the Queensland Government approved Free Kindy program, led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher and supported by our experienced Educational Leader.
Children enjoy a wide range of hands-on experiences, including a fully equipped water park, a nature-inspired adventure playground and a mud kitchen that encourages sensory exploration. Our on-site Barn Yard is home to ducks, chickens and budgies, while other animal friends such as turtles, frogs and blue tongue lizards help foster curiosity and a love for the natural world.
Technology is thoughtfully woven into our programs, with smart boards, iPads and laptops supporting early digital learning in developmentally appropriate ways.
We are proudly connected to our local community, and this is reflected in everything we do. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded through relationships with local Elders and a commitment to honouring the traditional owners of the land. We also build meaningful intergenerational relationships through incursions with a nearby aged care facility, encouraging empathy, respect and a strong sense of belonging.

About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
At Kids ELC Browns Plains, our play-based and inquiry-led curriculum is thoughtfully designed and delivered by experienced and qualified educators who understand how young children learn and thrive. Our program is inspired by Reggio Emilia practices and shaped by each child’s interests, strengths, culture and capabilities.
We believe learning is most meaningful when it happens in partnership. Our educators work closely with children and families to create engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and a love of discovery.
Our curriculum is guided by respected national and international frameworks including the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, My Time Our Place, the National Quality Framework, the Early Childhood Code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. These foundations help us nurture a learning environment that is inclusive, holistic and respectful of every child’s potential.
At Browns Plains, learning is grounded in the power of play. Through hands-on and open-ended experiences, children grow across all areas of development including social, emotional, physical, thinking and creative. Educators support each child’s wellbeing, sense of agency and identity by responding to their individual backgrounds, cultures and ways of learning.
Centre philosophy
Centre philosophy
At Kids ELC Browns Plains, we follow a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early learning. We see children as capable and full of curiosity. Learning is shaped by their interests, questions and relationships. Educators support this by guiding and learning alongside the children. Through play and hands-on experiences, children explore, discover and grow at their own pace.
We believe the environment is a key part of learning. Our spaces are calm, beautiful and thoughtfully set up to invite creativity and independence. Children are encouraged to express their ideas in many ways, such as through art, music, movement, storytelling and imaginative play. These experiences help them connect with others and share how they see the world.
Relationships are at the heart of our approach. We know that children learn best when they feel safe and supported. They grow through their connections with educators, other children, their families and the natural world. Our educators carefully observe and listen to children, helping to make learning meaningful. By working closely with families, we create a caring and respectful space where every child feels confident to explore, ask questions and enjoy learning.

This centre has had alot of illnesses in the short time we have been there. Asked Management several times to enter us in ipad system..still not in. I suggest the powers that be visit and go thru the place. More attention to nappy changing, more food for kids, keep sick kids home so they don't spread illnesses...basically actually just follow your own policies and procedures I would imagine...not hard Read more
