Programs
Programs
Wiggles and Giggles Wentworth celebrates every child’s uniqueness, with tailored programs that foster confidence, self-esteem and a sense of identity. These include:
- School readiness: a play-based curriculum that gives children the essential numeracy, language, social and emotional skills for a smooth transition to primary school.
- Early Learning STEM Australia (ELSA): play-based digital learning to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It encourages children to ask questions, make predictions, experiment, and reflect.
- ELLA: an exciting digital language learning program for preschoolers. Children learn one of 13 languages using play-based apps, designed to reflect children’s interests, like cooking, art, building, role-play and music.
- Munch and Move: supports healthy eating and physical activity habits in young children with both structured physical programs and unstructured, spontaneous activity.
- Sustainability: introduces nature in fun activities and engages children in discussions about sustainable practices such as recycling and avoiding excess waste. The centre also runs the Wiggles Eco-Topia program, an educational channel to assist families and the wider community to develop sustainable practices at home.
- Be You: the centre embeds the “Be You” mental health program into services policies, procedures and practices. Educators are an active part of the “Be You” community, and promote mental health and wellbeing within the centre and wider community.
Meet the team
Meet the team
Wiggles and Giggles Wentworthville is proud to have a diverse team of dedicated and long-standing early childhood professionals. All the educators are qualified and experienced, with a genuine love, passion and tenacity for caring and educating young children.
The team works closely with families to ensure programs meet the needs of children, and that all children feel safe and secure. Educators are trained in the SAFE program, introduced by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. It teaches children about safety and recognises their feelings in a child friendly language.
With a diverse multicultural team, the centre also ensures that children of all cultures always feel welcomed and valued.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
The centre acknowledges that the families are children’s first teachers, and that having a strong sense of cultural identity helps children feel a sense of belonging.
Educators ensure this relationship is strengthened by actively involving families in centre events and by encouraging participation in the program
The centre proudly respects diversity which in turn supports children to learn to respect the differences in cultures.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The centre has an enriching curriculum that caters to different interests and learning styles, whilst building a strong sense of identity, wellbeing and connection.
Jellyfish Room: 6 weeks – 2 years
The infant program introduces each child to a loving, homelike environment, following the routines that families have established. The room has soft lighting and an engaging play area. Educators gently encourage the skills required to start crawling, standing, walking and talking.
The program includes activities that help children develop early friendships and co-operation skills, and build the skills to listen and follow verbal directions through simple play. Educators also promote vocabulary growth through songs, stories, puppet shows and fun games.
Seahorse Room: 2 to 3 years
Toddlers need both freedom and security. The Seahorse Room supports each child to explore their world knowing carers are close at hand.
The toddler program includes stimulating activities tailored to the children’s interests, abilities and needs. Activities include construction and puzzles to stimulate mathematical thinking, role playing, language to support early literacy skills, and a book corner to instil a love for reading.
Dolphin Room: 3 to 5 years
The preschool program includes engaging activities that help build school readiness. The program aims to build problem solving skills, enhance social skills, and develop foundational numeracy and literacy skills.
Educators set up activities in the Dolphin room giving children the opportunity to make their own choices about their learning. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their belongings, to help care for their classroom, to ask for assistance when required, and to independently deal with their peers, working collaboratively and taking turns.

My daughter has been at the daycare for nearly two years, and I am extremely pleased with the care and affection she has received. Unfortunately, due to our relocation, we have to move her. However, I would enthusiastically recommend this place to anyone. She truly enjoyed her time there and still misses her friends and wonderful educators. Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of my daughter. Read more
