I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Honour Early Learning. My daughter had consistent meltdowns in the car before daycare, crying and upset because she didn’t want to go. This was worrying as a parent, especially when she’s always been excited to engage in activities elsewhere. When she came home, I would often find her clothes completely covered in paint — as no paint smock was put on her. Even on the rare occasions when she did have a smock, somehow she would still manage to get paint underneath it, staining her clothes. This lack of attention to detail around basic measures really frustrated me. Even worse, the soiled clothes were never placed in a separate plastic bag, as is standard in most daycares. Instead, they were simply tossed into the same bag as her clean clothes. Additionally, my partner witnessed a bit of a worrying sight during pick-up. She went into one of the rooms and saw that there was only one educator supervising around 10-15 children—many of whom were running wild. The educator seemed overwhelmed and unable to control the group, which only confirmed my worries about the level of supervision and care my child was receiving. It was chaotic and unsettling to see the lack of structure and supervision, as it seemed like the children were left with little to no guidance. I expected a lot more from a daycare that is meant to provide a nurturing, structured, and safe environment for young children. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from this, and I would not recommend this centre based on the issues I’ve described. Read more
