Meet the team
Nido Early School is committed to quality care and learning delivered by an outstanding team of degree-qualified teachers and skilled educators. The team inspires and challenges each other, working together to collectively offer the very best in childcare.
The service hires only passionate and committed team members. It provides a comprehensive induction and onboarding program. Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
Nido Early School understands that no one knows a child like their family. The service actively engages with parents and family members to ensure children have the very best care.
The team works with family members at enrolment and also regularly seeks updates on children’s schedules and current interests. This helps them to develop tailored programs that meet individual educational, physical, cultural and emotional needs.
Parents are welcome to chat with staff at drop off and pick up, and to contact the team at any stage via phone, email or the service’s ‘Playground’ App. The service regularly sends updates on children’s progress, and photos and videos of children during play and learning activities.
With an ‘open door policy’, parents are welcome to join in activities and events, and to share breakfast with children at the popular breaky bar.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The curriculum at Nido Early School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Designed to support the children in the early years and as they prepare for the transition to school, the curriculum is play-based and engaging.
The curriculum is delivered in three stages:
Nursery (6 weeks to 18 months)
In the nursery, the children are nurtured as they develop early connections with their educators. They read stories, play and explore the world around them.
The children start to develop their sense of identity and understand that they are part of a broader community. They start to explore their feelings and emotions and also try new things. Developing early communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal is also a big focus for the children in this age group.
Toddlers (18 months to 3 years)
The educators encourage the toddlers to develop their independence and autonomy. They have opportunities to build their social skills and early friendships while also learning to regulate their emotions.
As the children take safe risks in their learning, the educators also encourage their problem solving skills. Self-expression and communication are also important.
Kindergarten (3 years to school)
The Kindergarten curriculum helps to prepare the children for the big transition to big school. The children have a strong sense of self and understand their role in the community. They participate in peer activities and understand their own emotions.
They are always questioning how things work and practising their verbal and listening skills as strong communicators.

Had our son attended few years ago, he absolutely loved his time at Nido. No tears since 2nd week of attending. He had his favourite educator but is happy to go to anyone. Fast forward our daughter came along, she's a much more clingy child. The educators were so caring and patient with her, offering options to distract her at drop off. Educators always reassure me she settles down within few minutes after I left. Educators and staffs are all very caring and friendly, it feels like family. Highly recommend Nido Willetton. I won't go anywhere else. Read more

I should have wrote this earlier but hopefully things have changed for the better. Had my son enrolled here last year but had to take him out last July, had so many issues. what is the point of asking us to fill in what we want for nido to achieve with our kids? You need to reevaluate your main educators from last year. The only time my son was happy was when you had your relief educators in to cover the main educator who wasn't present. I was called one time to tell me to come in and pick up my kid because he was bleeding from scratching, only for me to rush down and it was tiniest broken skin, talk about giving up early. And everytime he was in your childcare in the updates which don't get updated very much until i called and ask how my son is doing, was that he ate extra for lunch (almost everytime!).. So when i pick up my son at 2 to 3pm and he's starving and asking me for food and i ask him did you not eat? he would say no eat. And that one time i pick him up and he was outside sipping from his water bottle that had NO water in it. and i ask him again did you just finish the water? he said no, no water long time.. but what really made me decide to take my child out was when the educator downstairs told me that her daughter had a comforter at childcare and its fine for her, so i should let my son continue using his comforter the whole time and let him just drag it around. i had said from the start and many times after that its only for him to sleep with.. what did my son achieve, crying everytime when he had to go to childcare. i wrote that i would like to have him toilet trained and off his comforter and no attempts were made.. Only when the relief educator was there to say to me its ok she will make sure he doesn't have it. and surprise surprise my son didn't have a comforter and was not crying and tells me he enjoyed himself that day.. Don't bother trying to call me and asking me why i wrote this because i gave really tried. I had heard many good things about Nido but it wasn't this branch. Read more
