I had high expectations for habitat, based on the tour and their premium fees, but unfortunately, they do not deliver on their promises. The facility itself is nice, but that’s where the positives end. Staff turnover is incredibly high—nearly every time I dropped my child off, there was a new face. This constant change left my child feeling unsettled, which I brought up with the management. However, they only offered a standard, dismissive response that did nothing to address our concerns. We have since moved to a different center, and the level of care and attention there is far superior, even at a lower cost. I would not recommend this center, as their service and commitment do not justify their exorbitant fees. Save your money and look elsewhere. Read more

So my 4 kids went here for 3 months, i never wanted to write a review but it has come to that point now. This centre is absolutely awful, just a front, all smoke and mirrors. My son who is only 3 was sent home soiled in urine and poo on his bum nearly everyday, i asked greta the educator to wipe his bum and she reacted extremely childish stating that the kids can wipe their own bums and rolled her eyes at me. She then refused to assist my son to settle in to the room who was crying on his own. I had to ask reception to help him. How much more childish does it get if an educator is taking out her personal issues with a parent onto a child? I felt bad leaving him there that day. I often walked in to check on my twins and would find them crying alone in the cot and i had to explain multiple times that they are sleep trained but that does not mean you leave them to cry in the cot, that means when they are showing signs of being ready to sleep then you place them in and if they are ready they will fall asleep on their own. No one ever listened and continued to leave my twins crying in cots all the time. There’s so much more i could say! Lastly, i paid $2,000 in refundable deposit fees, only being given $1,000 when i left the centre and am still battling 6 weeks later for the other half. All child care subsidy has been paid. Whats $1,000 to this centre? How greedy can you be! Does it get worse? Yes! The management are extremely snobby and rude to deal with when you have an issue and try to threaten you to shut you down when you make a complaint about anything. Right now i am lodging a minor debt dispute with qcat to get my money back, i won’t back down. And i am calling the education department about the treatment of my children at this centre. Also the kids starve all day they don’t eat the food they put out, some fancy meal stuff that is actually more appropriate for upper class adults at a fancy restaurant. Good grief. Read more

We were with habitat Nundah since they opened, and from the beginning were persistently underwhelmed by the amount of undelivered promises. The centre has churned through numerous directors over the last few years, and unfortunately there has also been a revolving door of unhappy educators who leave. Our family stayed on with loyalty to a few excellent teachers/educators - sadly, they’re gone now too. It appears that Habitat’s focus on profit surpasses the care for their staff and prioritising a consistent service. This centre promises better ratios, better staff conditions, better communication with families, better curriculum, quality staff P.D./training, and generally better quality, safer care. We haven’t experienced that to be true. Teachers are run off their feet often with heaps of children in their care, overworked, unheard, and under resourced. The ‘events’ Habitat promises are a joke - they’re no more polished than what any other service offers - and half the time they’re cancelled anyway. Habitat has a very slick and heavy numbered upper management who sweep your concerns under the rug when you raise them. It’s just smoke and mirrors and empty promises, and in the long run nothing changes. An honest review of this establishment has been long overdue. Don’t drink the cool aid and certainly don’t think that making financial sacrifices to send your child here will give anything above and beyond what you’d expect at any other childcare service. Apart from a pretty building, this service is simply focussed on profits, not quality care. Read more
