Programs
Programs
At Climbing Ladders Early Learning & Montessori Centre we are dedicated to providing a high-quality early learning experience that nurtures children's growth and development. Our program is designed with the following key elements:
- Framework-based Approach: Our curriculum is guided by The Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and The Montessori Method of Education. These principles form the foundation for quality teaching and learning.
- Play-based Learning: We believe in the power of play as a vehicle for learning. Our program emphasises play-based activities that promote communication, language, social, and emotional development.
- Reading Program: Our highlight is the development of early literacy skills through our engaging reading program. We foster a love for books and provide opportunities for children to explore the world of language and storytelling.
- Quality Areas: Our centre prioritises excellence across seven key areas, including educational program and practice, children's health and safety, the physical environment, staffing arrangements, relationships with children, collaborative partnerships with families and communities, and governance and leadership.
- Montessori Curriculum: We offer a holistic education program based on the Montessori Curriculum. This encompasses five key learning areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
- Personalised Approach: Family input, individual and group interests, educator-initiated learning, and hands-on experiences shape our daily program. We value collaboration and strive to create a learning environment that supports each child's growth.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Through our carefully crafted curriculum, we strive to create an enriching and stimulating learning journey for children at each stage of their development.
Explorers (0-12 months):
Our dedicated room is designed to cater to the needs of babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months. In this nurturing and safe environment, our goal is to foster curiosity and exploration while providing engaging learning experiences.
Climbers (12-24 months):
As babies transition to this room, our curriculum includes specially designed infant materials to support their emerging abilities. We focus on developing skills such as hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, and fine and gross motor skills, boosting their confidence along the way.
Investigators (2-3 years):
In both our Investigators and Discoverers rooms, we encourage sensory-based learning. Toddlers are introduced to materials that promote functional independence, autonomy, and respect for diversity. We provide opportunities to refine motor skills and encourage critical thinking and experimentation.
Discoverers (2-3 years):
Similar to our Investigators room, Discoverers also focuses on sensory-based learning and the growth of independence and autonomy. Children continue to develop motor skills while nurturing respect for diversity and their environment. Critical thinking and experimentation are encouraged.
Inventors (3-4 years):
At this stage, children become sensorial explorers, absorbing knowledge about the world around them. Our Preschool Education Program fulfills their innate desire to learn through direct sensory experiences and self-teaching materials. Language, culture, and their environment are key elements of their exploration.
Pioneers (4-5 years):
Our upper Preschool Program takes children to the next level, covering key curriculum areas such as STEM, music, art, and physical education. We foster individualism, concentration, and self-correction while providing ample opportunities for imaginative exploration and creative self-expression.

We've had such a positive experience at CL Stanhope Gardens with our daughter. The teachers are incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a wonderful environment where children feel safe and supported. Miss Rose, the center supervisor, deserves special mention for her kindness and dedication. She played a vital role in helping Meenu with potty training and preparing her for the next level. When my daughter had a fracture, she was understandably hesitant to walk, but Miss Rose and the team encouraged her with gentle guidance and support. They allowed her to attend daycare and helped her regain confidence in walking again. We’re truly grateful for the caring attention and encouragement our daughter receives every day. Highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment! Read more

I feel like I’m dropping him off to family on the days he attends. I would absolutely recommend Climbing Ladders Stanhope Gardens to anyone who was considering sending their child. Read more

Moving my children to Climbing Ladders was the best decision we have made for our girls. My girls quickly formed a connection with their educators and are growing and learning in a nurturing centre. The love and care that all the educators give to the children is second to none, and I can see the genuine love they have for my girls. The centre's Montessori pedagogy, along with their holistic approach to child development make them stand out amongst other centres. Climbing Ladders is very clean, each room is well equipped with appropriate resources, fantastic playground and great little yoga room. The phenomenal in house chef is an added bonus, as my 4 year old tells me "climbing ladders food is more yummy." A special thank you to Miss Rose, Miss Riya and Miss Nithya for going above and beyond to help my girls settle in. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for the amazing work they do each and every day 🩷 Needless to say.....highly highly recommended! Read more
