Programs
Programs
At Climbing Ladders Early Learning & Montessori Centre we are dedicated to providing a high-quality early learning experience that nurtures children's growth and development. Our program is designed with the following key elements:
- Framework-based Approach: Our curriculum is guided by The Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and The Montessori Method of Education. These principles form the foundation for quality teaching and learning.
- Play-based Learning: We believe in the power of play as a vehicle for learning. Our program emphasises play-based activities that promote communication, language, social, and emotional development.
- Reading Program: Our highlight is the development of early literacy skills through our engaging reading program. We foster a love for books and provide opportunities for children to explore the world of language and storytelling.
- Quality Areas: Our centre prioritises excellence across seven key areas, including educational program and practice, children's health and safety, the physical environment, staffing arrangements, relationships with children, collaborative partnerships with families and communities, and governance and leadership.
- Montessori Curriculum: We offer a holistic education program based on the Montessori Curriculum. This encompasses five key learning areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
- Personalised Approach: Family input, individual and group interests, educator-initiated learning, and hands-on experiences shape our daily program. We value collaboration and strive to create a learning environment that supports each child's growth.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Through our carefully crafted curriculum, we strive to create an enriching and stimulating learning journey for children at each stage of their development.
Explorers (0-12 months):
Our dedicated room is designed to cater to the needs of babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months. In this nurturing and safe environment, our goal is to foster curiosity and exploration while providing engaging learning experiences.
Climbers (12-24 months):
As babies transition to this room, our curriculum includes specially designed infant materials to support their emerging abilities. We focus on developing skills such as hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, and fine and gross motor skills, boosting their confidence along the way.
Investigators (2-3 years):
In both our Investigators and Discoverers rooms, we encourage sensory-based learning. Toddlers are introduced to materials that promote functional independence, autonomy, and respect for diversity. We provide opportunities to refine motor skills and encourage critical thinking and experimentation.
Discoverers (2-3 years):
Similar to our Investigators room, Discoverers also focuses on sensory-based learning and the growth of independence and autonomy. Children continue to develop motor skills while nurturing respect for diversity and their environment. Critical thinking and experimentation are encouraged.
Inventors (3-4 years):
At this stage, children become sensorial explorers, absorbing knowledge about the world around them. Our Preschool Education Program fulfills their innate desire to learn through direct sensory experiences and self-teaching materials. Language, culture, and their environment are key elements of their exploration.
Pioneers (4-5 years):
Our upper Preschool Program takes children to the next level, covering key curriculum areas such as STEM, music, art, and physical education. We foster individualism, concentration, and self-correction while providing ample opportunities for imaginative exploration and creative self-expression.

I am incredibly happy with the care and attention my son receives at this childcare center. The teachers – Miss Rose, Miss Riya, Miss Mariyam, Miss Gurleen and all the others – are all exceptional. They create a nurturing, educational environment that has really helped him grow. What stands out to me is their commitment to involving parents in the process. They conduct regular parent-teacher meetings, which I really appreciate. It helps me stay connected with the child's progress and development, and I always leave the meetings feeling confident about his care and learning. I highly recommend this childcare center for anyone looking for a supportive, caring, and professional environment for their child! Read more

My son attended climbing ladders, Stanhope Gardens for three years and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. Mrs.Rose, the centre director is incredibly dedicated and kind and works really hard to plan all sorts of activities and incursions for the children. The children enjoy sports programs, visits from the dentist, visits from 'the science guy', live performances for Chinese new year, baking, gardening. you name it! Mrs.Rose even pulls out her guitar from time to time and goes around the classrooms playing and singing to the children which they absolutely love. The entire staff is incredibly kind, caring and professional. I always felt that my son was being watched by family who loved him by the way he was treated and how we as parents were treated. The teachers are so easy to communicate with, they kept us so well informed and regularly asked for our feedback. They hold parent information nights, regular cultural events and school readiness sessions. They strive to make the environment very inclusive and structured while still allowing children to explore their interests independently. They support a Montessori and other school curriculums through their learning program bye experienced educators. I felt like my child was incredibly well prepared for school and blossomed so much as a result of the amazing teachers here. One thing I loved about CL was the emphasis on independence they try to teach the children. They are loving and affectionate but also have expectations from the students (E.g. pack away toys after playing, wash hands before meals, learn to serve their plate of morning tea, put away backpacks and other belongings). That all translated to home where my son was eager to try to help me with tasks or bring his plate to the kitchen after dinner etc and really helped him learn to be responsible. Another aspect of this school that was a godsend for me was the magic they worked with potty training. Istill can't believe how fast they were able to get him toilet trained and in a way where he didn't feel anxiety. Like many other things, the teachers would consult us as parents to make sure our methods were aligned. It always felt like a partnership with them :) The owners are also very kind and present in the daily running of the centre. One of the things I appreciated is how well kept the facility is. The toys and equipment are really well taken care of, the rooms are always clean and in general the facilities are really well looked after. Last but definitely not least the food is really really nice. My son went from eating virtually no veg and being extremely picky to (after a patient transition supported by the teachers) trying almost anything and he always ate full servings of the food provided! The chef makes healthy and delicious lunches daily for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late tea and we are so grateful for her. I am really grateful for my son's time with climbing ladders. The teachers are like family and we are incredibly grateful for the love and learning they imparted onto my son. Just a wonderful centre! Read more

We are happy to send our son to climbing ladders child care and Montessori. Initially we were hesitant about sending him to the daycare and eventually we had to ,due to our circumstance. On the first day after dropping him in his daycare we were very worried and couldn't say bye to him that's when the words of Miss rose gave us the confidence and satisfaction that he was in good hands. As days passed by, he has started enjoying going to his day care and the management , staff have really lived up to their reputation and the google reviews provided. Now he has wonderful and caring educators like nithya, anqi, swati , venkata and the rest to look after him. We don't really worry much about him as we know he is in safe hands. It's been only 4 months and could see good progress in our sons behavior and skills. The best thing about the educators are they take any small feedback or suggestions diligently and would rectify it. Our heartfelt thanks to Miss rose, nithya , anqi, swati and venkata for looking after our son. Read more
