Over the course of almost nine months, our son only had ONE day where he seemed comfortable being left at the centre. Our concerns were not adequately addressed to our satisfaction. I think this was a great company at the start. No issues and when I had concerns it was addressed promptly. More recently,... I think this was a great company at the start. No issues and when I had concerns it was addressed promptly. More recently, I’ve had my child left outside unsupervised with another child. Not one staff member was outside when my wife came to collect my child. As my wife walked outside, she could hear our daughter crying distressed. She was covered in blood and our little girl had to go to the GP with a bruise to her nose and a deep laceration to her lip. The second issue was upon pick up, my child was outside without pants on when we went to pick her up. She came up to Mum asking where her pants were. We were informed by a staff member that the person changing her didn’t put her pants on and said she has none left when in fact she had several in her bag. On both occasions these matters were reported to the centre Director on the same day it happened. The first matter I had received an incident report. The second I did not. Because I had not received an Incident report for the second matter, I contacted the centre again for a copy, where the general manager emailed me saying she cannot help us, refused to provide an incident report and was dismissive of my concerns. Hi Chris, Thank you for your review. It is disappointing to hear that you do not feel your concerns were heard, when you reached out to us after your child’s care had ended. At Elephas Education, we pride ourselves on listening to families and educators feedback and making appropriate changes where needed to rectify grievances. Had we been made aware of your concerns during your child’s time of enrolment or your wife’s time of employment, we certainly could have worked with you both to rectify these concerns. Unfortunately, as discussed in our previous communication, there is nothing further we can action as our investigation of these claims were unsubstantiated. It was hard to ask them questions as they clearly had too many children. In the end I pulled my child out as I felt this environment was not betrayed in the same way the “stay and plays” were.
