Health & nutrition

Health & nutrition
At OAK on South, we are proud to have our talented, qualified chef Josie, who prepares delicious and nutritious meals daily. With a passion for healthy eating and sustainability, Josie incorporates fresh herbs and vegetables from our on-site garden into her meals, ensuring that each dish is full of flavour and goodness. Her commitment to nourishing our children is reflected in the diverse range of meals, all carefully tailored to meet individual dietary and cultural needs.
Josie also shares her love of food with the children through seasonal cooking lessons, where they get hands-on experience with fresh produce from our veggie garden. These interactive lessons not only teach children valuable skills but also ignite their curiosity about food and nutrition. Some of their favourite dishes include Anzac Slice, Curried Sausages, and Fried Rice—meals that are as fun to prepare as they are to eat! Through these experiences, children develop a deeper appreciation for healthy eating and sustainability.
