First impressions matter, and we want you to make an impression that lasts. That's why we've put together 5 ways to make your ECEC service the centre of attention.

Here are five tips for taking amazing childcare service photos that will make your listing shine.

1. Keep it as bright as the futures you're shaping

Good lighting can make a huge difference in the overall look of a room. A well-lit room looks warm and inviting, while a dark and dreary room can feel quite unwelcoming. When taking photos of a room, be sure to only do so during the day when natural light is at its brightest. Adjust your shades or blinds to let in as much sunlight as possible, and turn on lamps to illuminate any dark corners. Flash photography can often make photos look quite harsh, so it’s best to avoid using it if possible. If you’re unsure of the lighting in a particular room, just remember to use your pointer finger to tap on different areas of the screen. This will help you find the ideal brightness for your photos!

2. Nobody puts baby in a corner...except when taking photos

Sometimes, the best way to show off a space is to shoot it from an interesting angle. Flat-laying photos can make a small space seem even smaller, but shooting from a corner can give the illusion of more space and dimension. This technique is perfect for places when you want to make the space seem as open and inviting as possible. Plus, it's a great way to add some visual interest to your photos. So next time you're taking pictures of a place, try shooting from a corner to give your photos some extra oomph.

3. Pick up your toys

Childcare can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience for first time parents. There are a lot of things to think about and prepare for. One of the most important things you can do is to take some time to remove the clutter from your space. It’ll be less distracting to the viewer and generally make your place seem more inviting and spacious. Be as tidy as you’ve ever been. Clean up, but be sure the photo aligns as closely as possible to the actual space when they arrive. Let photos be a true reflection of how families will find it.

4. Work smarter not harder

Most people know that their iPhone takes pretty great pictures - but what they may not know is that there are a few things you can do to make sure you're making the most of that camera.

For starters, try turning on Grid view in your Settings under Photos & Camera. This will help you to line up your shots better by superimposing a grid over your image.

Additionally, it can be helpful to turn off your Flash- you'll get more natural looking pictures this way.

Lastly, be sure to check that your camera is on the Photo setting before taking pictures. You can find this option by sliding the menu of choices at the bottom of your screen until Photo is highlighted in yellow.

Do these three things and you're guaranteed to step up your iPhone photography game!

5. Pro Tips

When it comes to taking photos of your service, there are a few key things to keep in mind in order to get the perfect shot.

First, be sure to hold your phone straight and horizontal - no need to tilt it or raise it up.

Second, if you can't seem to get the furniture centred in the frame, try crouching or kneeling down - this will help you get a better view.

And lastly, remember that each room should have a focus, the internal should focus on the learning facilities and the outside should focus on the play equipment - this will help to make your service look its best. By following these simple tips, you'll be sure to get great photos of your service every time.
