My child attended the Playcentre in the past and as a parent I was most impressed by the professional standards and practices adhered to by the Director. I returned to work at Playcentre as a trained Educator some years later. I now have perspective as both a parent and Educator and my admiration has grown for this business. Parents are provided with all the relevant information upon enrolment which clearly states procedures, policies and practices adhered to at Playcentre. All in line with current Government and Department policy and legislation. I highly recommend Kew North Balwyn Playcentre my experiences have been wonderful. Read more

Not the best experience as parents. It is always understood educators are there to put their best foot forward and follow protocol of... Not the best experience as parents. It is always understood educators are there to put their best foot forward and follow protocol of the childcare in looking after your little ones. My daughter was there for 3 terms and it was visable the enjoyment level of attending childcare compared to 3 year kinder is very different. What was not expected is an altercation with the director and my wife quesitoning the way my daughter was raised, to an extent of asking if we ever say 'no' to our child. A heated exchange with no accountability prompted us to make a decision to take a break from the childcare, to which I accidently said i would like to withdraw my daughter for the rest of the term. As fees are paid in advance, I was thrown by laws and declarations that I signed immediatley. It is much more important to this playcenter that you as parents follow all checked disclaimers and have fees paid for the commerical benefits of the operation. There was an intent post the altercation to attend the last 2 weeks of the term but unfortunately due to illness this was not possible. When speaking to Centrelink, they advised it was up to the childcare's discretion what happens in the event we were unable to attend. Not suprised they are not here to do us any favors. Definitely not impressed with how things have been handled with no accountability. Wont be suprised if they find a way to srub the review. Read more
