Edge Early Learning Kelvin Grove provides quality childcare and kindergarten programs tailored to children from 6 weeks to school age. The new custom-designed centre, also a heritage-listed site, has been completely restored and renovated to create two levels of state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor learning spaces, with some of the best views of Brisbane. Their centre is equipped with veggie gardens, sandpits, water-play stations and more!
Designed to suit the suburb and surrounds, they collaborated with local Brisbane artist Carley Cornelissen to create three bespoke animal-themed murals that encourage children to explore and investigate their surroundings, which is the basis of their inquiry-based learning philosophy. At the heart of the community, their centre provides a stimulating and interactive learning environment for every child encouraging growth through discovery and play.

The educators are kind, caring and highly competent. We have a great appreciation for how the educators genuinely care for our little one. The leadership team is excellent too. There is good consistency regarding staff members in the nursery, allowing little ones to feel comfortable and familiar with their educators. The educators are very approachable and always happy to share details about your child's day. They also support individual routine needs for each baby and are easy to collaborate with when routine adjustments are necessary. The nursery rooms are spacious with many opportunities for babies to learn and explore safely. Our little one was always happy and calm after a day at the centre and also enjoyed the food that was served. Read more

The child caregivers at the Edge Learning Centre are exceptional. It is difficult to find adequate words to express their impact. My grandson, Aveer Singh, who typically cries during drop-offs, has shown frustration towards his mother for arriving early to collect him. This little boy has demonstrated significant positive behavioral development. I am confident that I made the right decision in choosing the Edge Learning centre for my grandson. Read more

Our daughter started with Edge KG at 5 months old. She has absolutely loved it since day one; her progress and development have excelled and our fabulous educators in Nursery 1 and 2 have cared for and nurtured her better than we could ever have hoped or imagined. Every month we receive a developmental plan from our educators - I.e. supporting to crawl, support to stand up etc. I truely believe her developmental progress is hugely influenced by our Edge family. Our daughter is beyond happy every single day; she is well looked after; her educators know her daily routine (including how she goes to sleep!). We absolutely adore our Nursery 1 & 2 educators, they are just the best. The amazing Centre Director Mel would go above and beyond for anyone, she really cares about her staff, and the families - which is reflected throughout the centre. She is also INCREDIBLY responsive and dedicated to the centre. Honestly, I don’t have a single negative. We’re just so happy to feel so comfortable with Edge, and have such a happy girl dropped off and picked up everyday! Read more

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
