I can’t express enough how incredible this centre is! We did a tour with the manager Britt and she was so well informed and I could see she cares about the children and education so much. The team seemed so positive and genuinely happy when I walked in each room. The centre was so clean and beautiful. We are starting our little one there in the New Years, having already done 2 orientations and we could not be happier about our decision. Everyone needs to come to this centre before it gets full, because we know it will be full soon!

Meet the team

At Little Stars, every child’s journey is overseen by accredited, friendly, caring and attentive educators who put the children’s interests front and centre.

The team works collaboratively to provide tailored care and learning for children, and actively work to provide a safe, secure, warm and homelike environment where children can thrive.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Little Stars recognises that parents are the first and continuing carers and educators of their children. The centre aims to function as an extended family, providing a secure and trusted environment. Educators actively build quality relationships with families, to achieve the best possible outcome for children.

Families are welcome to speak with educators at any time, and are encouraged to share information on a child's interests, culture and personal experiences. This is then used to help provide tailored experiences, and to develop inclusive care practices and play environments.

The centre has clear and easy to follow parent and guardian information. It also provides updates through the year on child activities and centre events.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

The guiding principle of our service is that ‘The best interests of the child are paramount’. How do we make that happen? We begin by making the child the centre of our approach by building everything we do on our Centre philosophy.

Our philosophy is to include all children in our Little Stars family and make a positive contribution to their future success by delivering high-quality education and care. We acknowledge that contemporary research has made explicit the connection between the quality of relationships in children’s early years and their future positive cognitive and social development.

We recognise the importance of quality early childhood education and care practices and settings and acknowledge this is a priority in providing children with stimulating play experiences and learning environments which will positively enable all children to develop to their full potential.

We plan to stimulate indoor and outdoor environments based on play, children’s strengths and interests that support all aspects of children’s learning and provoke exploration, intrigue and discovery as this promotes opportunities for sustained and collaborative learning.

We work in partnership with children, families and the community to develop and plan a curriculum that supports a child’s sense of belonging, being and becoming.

Families are supported to provide their individual contributions and personal experiences as we recognise that good practice in early childhood education and care incorporates these contributions and experiences to develop inclusive care practices and play environments and build our cultural competence.

We are responsive to children’s needs and initiate positive engagement with their families to develop trust and respect to strengthen collaborative relationships.

We recognise the importance of working in partnership with families and that this enhances better outcomes for their children.

Had a walkthrough during the week and was treated very poorly from the start. Vibe between staff was not great and morale was low. Would not recommend to send your child here with management seeming incompetent
