Guided by our very own Director and Early Education Teacher Miss Eden, our Cubs don’t just play, they learn! We believe in creating a high quality play-based learning environments that are age appropriate for your child.
Your child will learn a range of cognitive and developmental skills through our child centred curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines. With three children of her own and a double bachelor in both Education (Primary) and Child and Family Studies, Eden and her team pride pride themselves on creating a safe and nurturing environment.
In addition to group activities for each room overseen by a lead educator we also have a full time Outdoor Educator who focuses in sustainability and learning about the environment.
We also run the award winning Happy Feet Program which teaches appreciation of health, fitness and general wellbeing and encourages children to make healthy choices.

My children were loved and the management team were amazing! However, the change over to Canopy was very very poor on canopy’s behalf. This company made me uneasy from the moment I met them. As an educator myself I was able to pick up on these red flags very quickly and removed my children ASAP. -Canopy provided no educational program, my daughter was moved from her room as a 2 year old and I was told she would spend her days in the Kindergarten room. -We had on a few occasions a senior educator kiss both of my children on their faces. -Whilst I am a believer in outdoor play, I do strongly believe it is important for children to have down time indoors and be provided educational activities to engage and support their learning and development. Instead of this happening as per the regulations the children instead would watch non- educational videos on the TV screen (for the short period they were indoors). -Management were very dismissive, and rude. I hope if management read this, that they revise and implement better practices. Not just for the sake of their business but for the tiny little humans people are entrusting in their care. Read more

The Jungle Cubs team was beautiful and warm. It was my first time sending my first daughter into care so I was anxious but it felt like the right place for us. Sadly shortly after there was a change of hands in the business and it was acquired by Canopy. Over the months staff came and went but I felt reassured by the fact that the staff I and my children had grown a bond with remained. Then just before Christmas many of the staff that we had a good bond with left the centre. This felt ominous and was a huge red flag. To walk into the centre one morning to see half of the staff photos taken down was concerning. Our last days at the centre when I was dropping my children off the centre felt like it was being run by very junior staff and none of them really seemed to know what was going on. I ended out picking my children up early out of anxiety. I was never impressed by the new management. When walking in for the morning drop off there was never a smile or a hello. The new manager never even introduced herself to me. Although there were never any major issues for my children (although I’ve spoken to parents who had many issues) there was just many red flags that indicated that the centre wasn’t being run efficiently or safely and I wasn’t wanting to stick around and see what happened after they employed many new staff. We decided new year new centre. A daycare is an extension of your family. It needs to feel like a community and you need to trust the people you are letting look after the most precious things in our lives. I really do hope that the centre improves in the coming months for the children and families that are left with no alternative option. Read more
