Montessori Education an Aid to life
Broadmeadow Montessori Children’s House is a fully accredited childcare centre enrolling children 2- 6years of age. Our educators are passionate about the children’s wellbeing and provide a caring and naturing environment for them to grow and thrive.
We operate from 8am – 5.30pm and are open 48 weeks of the year. Families are eligible to access childcare benefit and childcare rebate.
We have been operating since 1994 and were the first privately owned Montessori Centre in the Hunter Region.
Montessori is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child – physical, social, emotional and cognitive. The classroom is not merely a place for individual learning, but is a vibrant community of children working collaboratively. The multi age grouping enables every child to work at their own pace unhindered by competition and encouraged by co-operation. Guidance and support are given by the educators through one-on-one presentations and small group lessons. The environment is organised into the following curriculum areas: Practical life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture. It is hands on learning and children make their own discoveries. They become confident, responsible and independent learners who trust their own abilities.
