My daughter loves most of the staff, especially Miss Sara and Miss Cris, they are more than accomodating and patient with her. They even take the time to reassure you by message that your child is okay if they have had a tough start to the morning which to me is amazing and gives you the peace of mind. Couldn’t recommend them enough. 📚 ☀️ My daughter has been here since nursery and is now in junior kindy. Time flys! 😭 Read more

Jacaranda got power in the late Monday evening due to the Cyclone, they need to clean and reorder food, so parents need to prepare the lunch box for Wednesday. From the director to staffs, no one mentioned egg and nuts free when informed us. I also prepared a birthday cake for Wednesday, the leader educator of my daughter’s room asked the ingredients, I cannot bring it with egg and nuts. That’s okey, I did not bring it to Jacaranda. When I enquiry it to the director, reply as “ We kindly ask all parents to share the ingredients list of any food they plan to bring so we can ensure it is safe for all children.“ I totally understand that, just I know that there is a new enrolled kid may have food allergies from the cake thing. As the director, when she informed us to bring the lunch box, simply as follows “ Please bring your child’s lunch box on Wednesday. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation” , also no one educator asked or reminded when I brought the lunch box into the room The director replied in Chinese as following that what I said was totally false, not right. She said I did not mention her explanation about why parents need to bring lunch box, also, There is notice board on the gate “no nuts” , so her message to inform us to bring lunch box not simplely as I said. Should not the director remind the parents avoid nuts in the lunch box, also let us know there is a kid in my daughter’s room may have egg allergy? Read more
Hi Susan, What you have written in this review are totally false and incorrect. All our educators strictly adhere to the policies and procedures of our centre. We inform families at enrolment that we are a nut-free centre, and this information is displayed on the entrance door and within the premises . Regarding egg allergies, we exercise caution as they can cause anaphylaxis. Our approach depends on whether there are children enrolled with such allergies. That is why we require families to send the ingredients to us to ensure food safety. Due to the cyclone, we experienced a power outage that was restored at 11:30 PM on Monday night. We contacted staff at 11:30 PM to come to our centre on Tuesday to clean up all debris and check the environment so that we can open on Wednesday. Our chef was still recovering from the surgery and came on Wednesday to clean up the fridge and throw all the food to ensure our children's food safety. We are following all protocols and back to open on Wednesday. Unfortunately, due to limited supplies, Woolworths and Coles were unable to deliver food on Wednesday. I did a post to families and the original post about the lunch box wass: Our chef will organise the kitchen and clean up the fridge and freezer, so we cannot provide meals on Wednesday at this moment. Please bring your child’s lunch box on Wednesday. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation." So I did the explanation about the lunchbox. It was not as simple as what you mentioned in the review. In order to provide meals for children on Thursday, our 2IC went to Coles in person and carried all food materials to the centre on Wednesday. We have responded to the Cyclone so efficiently and effectively, but some situations are really beyond our control. We took all necessary steps to ensure the safety of children and staff, which remains our highest priority and responsibility. You have been other centres nearby and finally chose our centre. best, Centre Director
AVOID THIS CENTER!!! Do not trust the Director JULIA. She makes up her own rules whenever she please and change these same rules all... AVOID THIS CENTER!!! Do not trust the Director JULIA. She makes up her own rules whenever she please and change these same rules all the time or If for any reasons, you have to use this center, please check your account on weekly basis, random charges will be taken out of your account. If Julia offers a "Make up day" do not accept it or trust her because she will make you pay for it, she will declare the extra day to Centrelink and you will go over your subsidy. Hygiene......Shoes are allowed in the Nursery room!!!! meaning every parent or staff member entering the nursery with their shoes will leave dirt on the floor and your little one will crawl all day in that outside dirt! Shouldn't be allowed if they had a decent manager that cares for kids rather than her back pocket. Zero flexibility in regards to drop off or pick up, $2 per minute if you drop off a little early and same for pick up, oh wait....sometimes it s $2 , sometimes it's $3, depends on how JULIA feels that day or which parent she speaks to. This person SHOULD NOT be in charge of a center, she cares more about money that anything else. Thank you Miss Cris, Miss IVY and Miss Neha, I m sorry we had to take our son out of this center, nothing personal and we are grateful for the care you gave him but we feel sorry for you guys to have a boss like JULIA. We have launched a statement review with Centrelink so they can investigate the charges and also alerted ACCC about the fraudulent charges and the constant change of rules in this center STAY AWAY! ps: The 1 star is for the kindness of the staff, not for the center or the director JULIA Read more
